– Weekend Road Closures
As Highways England’s contractor in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, we would like to
provide details of planned roadworks on the A64 between High Hutton and Musley
Bank. The work involves the deep reconstruction of sections of the A64 carriageway,
along with associated high friction surfacing, road marking and stud renewal. In
addition, other maintenance work such as gully cleaning or grass cutting will be carried
out on this section of the road.

The current planned dates for these full weekend road closures are for
19 to 22 October, 9 to 12 November and 16 to 19 November (subject to satisfactory
weather conditions and work otherwise progressing as planned). During these
weekends the A64 will be fully closed between the junction of the A64 and Greets
House Road (Welburn Crossroads) and Pickering Interchange from 8pm on Friday and
will be reopened by 6am the following Monday.

The Parish Council would like to announce that it has a full compliment of Councillors.  At a meeting on 15 May 2018 the Council were please to welcome Mr P Winter and Rev’d J Cray to join Cllrs Bloom, Corton and Edmonds.

Due to the required number of Councillors being unable to attend the Ordinary meetings of Council on 28 November 2017 the meeting has been cancelled

The Village is currently planning a number of displays and events to celebrate “Le Tour” arriving on 28 April 2017.

Planning and design is underway ;

How can you be involved?

• Decorate gardens (Yorkshire flags, flower tubs)
• Come along to the Village Hall on Saturday 8th April 10am – 4pm to paint bikes, plant tubs & wellie boots, create cyclist scarecrows etc.
• Get posters + stickers from Village Hall on the same day
• Donate old bikes, plant containers, wellies, flowers, old shoes or trainers, tracksuits, tights, leggings, trousers, t-shirts, jumpers, goggles/sunglasses. Plus for stuffing – newspapers, straw, chicken wire and plastic bags. Drop off on April 8th from 10am or to any village hall or parish council member.
• Join the litter pick along the route on Saturday 22 April – 10am-12pm. Meet outside the church.
• Bake cakes for the day of the tour.
• Volunteer to help put up the decorations.

Kirby Misperton Parish Plan Publication

The Parish Council would like to thank all those who have contributed and apologise for the delay in the final publication.  Due to financial pressure the Council have decided not to provide hard copies for all.

Due to the required number of Councillors being unable to attend the Annual and Ordinary meetings of Council on 31 May 2016 the meeting has been cancelled.
