Post office

The Post Office on Main Street is open Monday and Tuesday 9am to 2pm. Mail collection time 12.30pm and 4pm.

Bus services

Yorkshire Coastliner run the 840 service from the Kirby Misperton roundabout toward Malton, York and Leeds and toward Pickering and Whitby.

Pubs and restaurants and hotels

The Coach House – Located at Flamingoland. Open Wedneday to Friday evenings to local residents. Call 908425 then extension 426

Water supply and sewerage

The local water authority responsible for water supply and sewerage is Yorkshire Water.

Police

To report crime or antu-social behaviour the non-emergency number is 101 but in an emergency always call 101

Refuse and recycling collection dates

Allternates between rubbish on a Friday and recycling and garden waste on the following Wednesday. Collections are usually one day later in weeks with a bank holiday.

Schools

The local education authority is North Yorkshire County Council. Kirby Misperton is in the catchment area for Pickering Primary School and Lady Lumley’s Secondary School.

North Yorkshire County County Council is responsible for the maintenance of local highways and public rights of way.

Street cleaning

Ryedale District Council is responsible for street cleaning.

Facilities provided by Kirby Misperton Parish Council

Litter bins

There are litter bins provided at the bus stop, at the village notice board and at the village hall and dog litter bins on Habton Road, Baurgh Lane and by the village notice board. These are emptied regularly by Ryedale District Council.

Salt and grit bins

There are salt and grit bins on Habton Road, Ducks Farm Close, Shire Grove and Barugh Lane. The Parish Council will arrange for these to be refilled when required.

Village Notice Board

The village notice board is on Main Street between Ducks Farm Close and Orchard Close.
